Social Media CIC has forged new paths in community journalism, working in some of the most disconnected communities in Britain.
We help people to connect with independent projects that fuse the most accessible writing with excellence in photography and art. We generate new light in our communities. We believe that every aspect of our society and culture deserves attention and that everybody has the right to express themselves. We hope to build a new business model that supports ethical, exciting media outlets that can be accessed by everybody on their own terms.
Our status as a not-for profit Community Interest Company means that all of our income is ploughed into our development as a sustainable social enterprise, developing projects that meet specific needs.
